We believe local dining should be an experience to be savored.
Our team is committed to creating a well-crafted, unique dining experience full of good tastes and great times.
Underdogs’ menu is fine-tuned to create flavors you haven’t seen before with high-quality ingredients. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t buy off the shelf. We use only 100% Texas Wagyu beef from Heartbrand Beef and prepare it smash patty style. Our vegetables, fruit, and cheeses are always the freshest available and foundational in our special scratch recipes. We’re particular about the unique style of food and drinks at Underdogs, and that’s why we make our syrups, dressings, juices, and sauces in-house. You, quite literally, will not find these tastes anywhere else.
It takes time, effort, and love to make everything from scratch — but that’s what we’re all about!
We serve up an array of classic cocktails, beers, and wines. You can choose from a variety of local craft beers on tap, imports, bottles, and cans, as well as all-day, every day specials. Or, if you like, indulge in one of our one-of-a-kind specialty cocktails. Our wide and wonderful drink selection makes Underdogs a happy-hour destination.
But Underdogs isn’t just a restaurant or a sports bar, it’s a social experience. Located on the beautiful River Walk in Flower Mound, Texas, we’re next to all the entertainment and views of this walkable waterfront. Experiencing a revival of fresh excitement and tastes, The River Walk is becoming a new favorite haunt for locals.
Underdogs are nothing without dogs, and that’s why we’re a dog-friendly restaurant with plenty of outdoor dining for you and your pal. Eat while treating yourself to the waterfalls, rocks, and trees – an oasis in the city.
We believe in the power of play! Inside, we have an arcade with classics like pinball, billiards, air hockey, and arcade cabinets. Underdogs is family-friendly, which means the kiddos can enjoy the games, but we know all you grown-ups out there will love them too.
Underdogs is also one of the only places open late in Flower Mound. Fun events, live bands, drink specials, and plenty of TVs tuned to your teams make Underdogs an after-hours hub for friends and laughter.

Biography
Greg Retz
CEO and Chef Greg Retz comes to Underdogs with an impressive culinary résumé. The professionally trained chef of over 35 years not only has a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales, where he also served as an instructor, but also a nutrition degree from Virginia Tech.
Greg is a certified Executive Chef and a Certified Culinary Administrator. He has worked in the culinary field, from fine dining to retail sales. Greg started his professional career as a personal trainer and nutritionist but decided to go to culinary school and pursue his lifelong passion for cooking.
Chef Retz has been awarded the Johnson and Wales University Success Board award for his achievements since graduating. He is also the winner of the 2007 Tabasco’s Hottest Chef recipe contest and was a finalist in the 2015 Supermarket Chef Showdown. Chef Retz’s culinary awards include 2 Signature Chef Series People’s Choice Awards, Finalist for Bon Appetite Magazine’s Recipe for Adventure Contest and Multiple medals from American Culinary Federation competitions.

Biography
Jamie Creevy
Jamie’s background in Dallas, TX includes concept creation and developing bar programs for sports bars, craft cocktail bars, and restaurants. He’s originally from the UK and has been in the restaurant business over 20 years. When you visit, expect to meet him and have a good belly laugh as well. He’s super dedicated and passionate about Underdogs. We love him, and you will too.
